Latest Food Prices in West Java: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Sunday, March 24, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (24/3/2024) at 08.03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, premium rice, dry soybean (import), medium rice, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, shallots, milkfish, simple packaged cooking oil, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,420 (13.72%) to Rp11,770 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease of Rp2,030 (28.39%) to Rp5,120 per kg.

7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp38,440 per kg (up 7.4%)
8. Milkfish: Rp33,020 per kg (down 10.83%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp31,240 per kg (down 0.98%)
10. Shallots: Rp29,490 per kg (down 3.28%)
11. Sugar: Rp17,330 per kg (up 0.35%)
