Today's Food Prices (13/3) in South Sumatra: Rice and Bird's Eye Chili Prices Rise

Some food commodity prices in South Sumatra were observed to rise today compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 13, 2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 increased and 3 decreased in price.

Commodities with price increases include broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, red bird's eye chili, large red chili, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as bulk granulated sugar, shallots, and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices rose the most by Rp2,521 (6.64%) to Rp40,469 per kg. Shallot prices fell the sharpest by Rp255 (0.71%) to Rp35,569 per kg.

6. Large Red Chili: Rp35,278 per kg (up 4.2%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp33,521 per kg (down 0.43%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,804 per kg (up 0.21%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,751 per liter (unchanged)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,368 per kg (down 0.11%)
11. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp16,825 per liter (unchanged)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,700 per liter (unchanged)
