Today''s Food Prices in South Sumatra: Red Chili Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (9/9/2025) at 13:24 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include packaged wheat flour, broiler chicken meat, broiler chicken eggs, consumption salt, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), SPHP rice, mackerel, dried soybeans (imported), and red onions decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The large red chili commodity surged highest by Rp4,000 (9.29%) to Rp47,074 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices fell sharpest by Rp654 (1.65%) to Rp38,877 per kg.
