South Sumatra Food Prices Friday (May 10): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (10/5/2024) at 16:45 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, red chilies, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), red onion, iodized fine salt, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili saw the highest price increase of Rp1,790 (4.52%) to Rp41,400 per kg. Red onion had the lowest price decrease of Rp580 (1.09%) to Rp52,530 per kg.
