West Sumatra Food Prices Thursday (September 12th): Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (12/9/2024) at 13:53 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, medium rice, mackerel, broiler chicken, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, curly red chilies, bulk wheat flour, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,330 (3.5%) to Rp39,360 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp6,660 (12.03%) to Rp48,700 per kg.
