Jambi Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Tuesday, January 9, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (9/1/2024) at 11:47 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

The commodities that increased in price are: curly red chilies, medium-grain rice, milkfish, whole garlic cloves, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, red chilies, shallots, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp2,380 (6.38%) to Rp39,660 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the lowest price decrease, falling Rp830 (2.96%) to Rp27,210 per kg.
