Indonesia's Food Prices Today: Beef Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (5/5/2024) at 17.22 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are skipjack tuna, pure beef, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as cayenne pepper, shallot garlic cloves, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Pure beef prices saw the highest increase of Rp840 (0.62%) to Rp136,100 per kg. Red onion prices saw the lowest decrease of Rp480 (0.94%) to Rp50,330 per kg.
