The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded two districts/cities in Central Java with an average weekly vaccination rate above the provincial average of 4,852.56 doses as of Sunday, May 15, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with vaccination rates above 5,000 doses are Banyumas, Purworejo, and Cilacap, with 11,333 doses, 6,068 doses, and 4,738 doses respectively.
Banyumas ranks first with an average weekly vaccination rate of 11,333 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 2.35 million doses have been used. Based on national dashboard data, the region has achieved 86.76% complete vaccination coverage.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in the next 10 days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the available stock of 120,870 doses, and the vaccine usage is the highest in Central Java.
Next is Purworejo, which recorded an average weekly vaccination rate of 6,068 doses, lower than the previous week. Purworejo is ranked second. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will last for eight days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 53,114 doses.
In addition to these two regions, the top five for average weekly vaccination rates include Cilacap with 4,738 doses and 80.56% complete vaccination coverage; Purbalingga with 4,655 doses and 82.21% complete vaccination coverage; and Magelang with 3,777 doses and 74.56% complete vaccination coverage.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccination rates of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
