The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded two districts/cities in Central Java with a weekly average vaccination rate above the average of 4,852.56 doses as of Thursday, March 24, 2022.
The average vaccination rate of the top three districts/cities with figures above 5,000 doses are Banyumas, Purworejo, and Cilacap, with values of 11,333 doses, 6,068 doses, and 4,738 doses, respectively.
Banyumas recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in Central Java with 11,333 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 2.35 million doses. In the national dashboard data recapitulation, the achievement of complete vaccination in this region has reached 84.28 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in the next 10 days. This remaining usage time is calculated from the remaining stock recorded at 120,870 doses and the highest vaccine usage in the last week in Central Java.
Next is Purworejo, which recorded a weekly average vaccination rate of 6,068 doses, lower than the previous week. Purworejo is ranked second. With the average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will be sufficient for eight days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 53,114 doses.
Still in the top five, besides the two regions above, are the weekly average vaccination rate in Cilacap at 4,738 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 78.3 percent; the weekly average vaccination rate in Purbalingga at 4,655 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 80.3 percent; and the weekly average vaccination rate in Magelang at 3,777 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 72.48 percent.
Areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission in some areas has decreased, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the rate of coronavirus transmission.
