The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in East Kalimantan with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average, which currently stands at 2,054.12 doses as of Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with average vaccination figures above 3,000 doses are Kutai Kartanegara, Samarinda City, and Balikpapan City, with values of 4,222 doses, 2,951 doses, and 2,862 doses respectively.
Kutai Kartanegara ranks first with a weekly average vaccination of 4,222 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 766,080 doses. In the national dashboard data recapitulation, the complete vaccination achievement in this region has reached 73.71 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in the next 10 days. This remaining usage time is calculated from the remaining stock of 44,526 doses and the highest vaccine usage in the last week in East Kalimantan.
Next is Samarinda City in second place. The complete vaccination achievement in this city has reached 86.47 percent. Compared to the previous week, the weekly average vaccination in this city reached 2,951 doses. Vaccination in this city is reported to be lower. Meanwhile, the daily average weekly vaccination statistics show no change compared to the previous day.
Then there's Balikpapan City with a weekly average vaccination of 2,862 doses. The complete vaccination coverage has reached 106.07 percent. The weekly average vaccination in Kutai Timur is 2,217 doses and the complete vaccination achievement is 80.1%, and the weekly average vaccination in Kutai Barat is 1,410 doses and the complete vaccination achievement is 91.46%.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
