The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in South Sumatra with weekly average vaccinations above the regional average, currently recorded at 2,741.75 doses as of Sunday, May 15, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with averages above 3,000 doses are Ogan Komering Ulu Timur, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan, and Muara Enim, with values of 5,804 doses, 3,175 doses, and 2,784 doses respectively.
Ogan Komering Ulu Timur recorded the highest weekly average vaccination in South Sumatra with 5,804 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 764,540 doses. In the national dashboard recapitulation, complete vaccination coverage in this region has reached 75.32 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in eight days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the available stock of 51,919 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in South Sumatra.
Next is Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan, which recorded a weekly average vaccination of 3,175 doses, lower than the previous week. Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan is ranked second. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will be sufficient for 18 days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 59,582 doses.
Also in the top five, besides the two regions above, is Muara Enim with a weekly average vaccination of 2,784 doses. Complete vaccination coverage has reached 75.73 percent. The weekly average vaccination in Ogan Komering Ulu is 2,380 doses, with complete vaccination coverage of 76.97%, and Musi Rawas with 2,285 doses and complete vaccination coverage of 68.74%.
Areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
