Prevalence of Food Consumption Inadequacy in Ngada Decreased by 0.07% in the Last Year

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, reached 11.35% in 2025.

This figure decreased by 0.07% from the previous year's 11.42%, while over the last 5 years, it increased by 2.42%.

Indonesia's average PoU was 7.89% in 2025. This means that the PoU in Ngada Regency is higher than the national average.

The National Food Agency (Bapanas) defines PoU as a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition insecurity.

This means that less than 11.35% of the total population in Ngada Regency consumes food but lacks sufficient energy.
