The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in Banten with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average of 4,844.38 doses as of Thursday, June 16, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with average weekly vaccinations exceeding 7,000 doses are Serang, Tangerang, and Tangerang City, with 11,723 doses, 8,431 doses, and 6,648 doses respectively.
Serang recorded the highest average weekly vaccination rate in Banten with 11,723 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 1.08 million doses have been used. Based on national dashboard data, the region has achieved 60.46 percent complete vaccination coverage.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in Serang will run out in eight days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the available stock of 96,835 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in Banten.
Tangerang is second. Complete vaccination coverage in this regency has reached 76.23 percent. Compared to the previous week, the average weekly vaccination in this regency reached 8,431 doses. The available vaccine stock in this regency will run out in 31 days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the available stock of 264,200 doses.
In addition to these two regions, the top five for average weekly vaccination also include Tangerang City with 6,648 doses and 89.01 percent complete vaccination coverage; South Tangerang City with 4,295 doses and 88.66 percent complete vaccination coverage; and Pandeglang with 2,709 doses and 67.76 percent complete vaccination coverage.
Outside Java, some regions with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
