113 Hotspots Detected in Indonesia in the Last 24 Hours (Monday, November 24, 2025)

Based on the SiPongi forest and land fire monitoring system of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), the last 24-hour monitoring shows that 113 hotspots were detected in Indonesia. This number of hotspots increased by 26 points compared to the previous period.

This data is the result of Terra/Aqua, SNPP, and NOAA satellite imagery accessed on Monday (11/24/2025) at 11:12 AM WIB. Of the 113 detected hotspots, 3 points have a high hotspot confidence level, 109 points are at a medium scale, and 1 point is at a low scale.

Hotspot confidence levels are divided into 3 scales. The low scale ranges from 0 - 29, the medium scale from 30 - 79, and the high scale from 80 - 100. The higher the hotspot confidence level, the higher the likelihood of a forest and land fire occurring in a particular area.

The most detected hotspots were in North Maluku with 21 points. South Papua ranked second with 20 hotspots. East Nusa Tenggara was in third place with 19 hotspots.

A total of 12 hotspots were detected in Central Sulawesi, followed by East Kalimantan with 11 hotspots, and Riau and West Kalimantan each had 6 detected hotspots.

A hotspot is a coordinate point of an area that has a higher surface temperature compared to its surroundings, and it is not the number of forest and land fire incidents.

However, a large number of clustered hotspots in an area indicates the occurrence of forest and land fires. This means that hotspot data from remote sensing satellite detection is still the most effective for monitoring forest and land fires over a wide area.
