The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in North Sulawesi with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average, which currently stands at 661.78 doses as of Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
The top three districts/cities with average vaccination rates above 700 doses are Minahasa, Bolaang Mongondow, and Minahasa Selatan, with 1,647 doses, 1,281 doses, and 683 doses respectively.
Minahasa recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in North Sulawesi with 1,647 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 331,400 doses have been used. Based on national dashboard data, the complete vaccination rate in this region has reached 56.58 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in six days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the available stock of 11,079 doses and the highest vaccine usage in North Sulawesi over the past week.
Following Minahasa is Bolaang Mongondow in second place. The complete vaccination rate in this district has reached 53.62 percent. Compared to the previous week, the weekly average vaccination in this district reached 1,281 doses. The available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 17 days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the remaining stock of 22,600 doses.
Next is Minahasa Selatan with a weekly average vaccination of 683 doses. The complete vaccination coverage has reached 58.31 percent. Minahasa Utara has a weekly average vaccination of 540 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 57.68%, while Bolaang Mongondow Utara has a vaccination rate of 398 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 59.63%.
Some areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
