The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in South Sulawesi with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average of 1,222.33 doses as of Thursday, March 31, 2022.
The three districts/cities with the highest average vaccination rates, all above 2,000 doses, are Gowa, Bone, and Jeneponto, with 2,489 doses, 2,471 doses, and 2,181 doses respectively.
Gowa recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in South Sulawesi with 2,489 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 758,240 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard recapitulation, the region has achieved 55.37% complete vaccination coverage.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 27 days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the remaining stock of 69,158 doses and the highest vaccine usage rate in South Sulawesi.
Next is Bone, which recorded a weekly average vaccination of 2,471 doses, slightly lower than the previous week. Bone is ranked second. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will last for 29 days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 73,588 doses.
Then, the weekly average vaccination in Jeneponto is 2,181 doses with 43.95% complete vaccination coverage; Bulukumba has a weekly average vaccination of 1,082 doses and 51.67% complete vaccination coverage; and Maros has a weekly average vaccination of 1,076 doses and 50.32% complete vaccination coverage.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
