Prevalence of Inadequate Food Consumption in North Buton Reaches 10.16% in 2025

Referring to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Prevalence of Undernourishment (PoU) in North Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi reached 10.16% in 2025.

This figure decreased by 1.96% from the previous year's 12.12%, while over the last 5 years it decreased by 0.2%.

Indonesia's average PoU in 2025 was 7.89%. This means that the PoU in North Buton Regency is higher than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes insufficient food to meet the energy needs for a normal, active, and healthy life.
