The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 163 districts/cities with a weekly Covid-19 aglomeration of confirmed positive cases above the national average, currently recorded at 0.3 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Monday, January 30, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 2.3 per 100,000 population/week are Teluk Bintuni, Gayo Lues, Manokwari Selatan, Fakfak, and Pangkal Pinang City, with respective values of 4.25, 4.12, 3.59, 3.58, and 2.3 per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. Twenty-four districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while six districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive cases include Teluk Bintuni, Gayo Lues, and Manokwari Selatan, with confirmed positive cases of 4.25, 4.12, and 3.59 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
