The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 109 districts/cities with weekly inpatient bed occupancy rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient bed occupancy rates, exceeding 11.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Kutai Barat, Tegal City, Magelang City, and Sorong, with respective values of 21.17 patients per 100,000 population/week, 17.9 patients per 100,000 population/week, 15.59 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 11.45 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient bed occupancy in most districts/cities outside Java. 54 districts/cities recorded higher daily inpatient bed occupancy than before, while 43 districts/cities recorded lower occupancy.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient bed occupancy rates include Kutai Barat, Sorong, and Mahakam Ulu, with respective inpatient bed occupancy rates of 17.9 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 11.18 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
