Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Tracing Rates (Saturday, December 17, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 110 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.49 percent as of Saturday, December 17, 2022.

The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 21.5 percent are Pacitan (30 percent), West Lombok (25.5 percent), Mojokerto City (25 percent), Semarang City (23 percent), and Cianjur (21.5 percent).

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily tracing rate was recorded in 14 regencies/cities, while 14 others recorded lower tracing rates.

Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include West Lombok (25.5 percent), Karimun (20 percent), and Asahan (20 percent).

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
