Based on data from kawalcovid19.id, the Indonesian government had administered approximately 40.3 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine nationwide by Sunday, June 27, 2021. Nationally, the first dose has only reached 10% of the target, while the second dose has reached 4.9% of the target.
At least 27.2 million people have received the first dose. Meanwhile, 13.1 million people have received the second dose. The government continues to accelerate the distribution of vaccines to minimize the transmission of the coronavirus.
The first target of the Covid-19 vaccination program was healthcare workers. The number of people receiving the first dose has exceeded the target, surpassing 1.5 million people. A total of 1.4 million healthcare workers have received the full two doses of the vaccine, equivalent to 96.2% of the government's target.
Public officials were the second target of the Covid-19 vaccination. 120.7% of the target for public officials, or 20.9 million people, have received the first dose. Almost nine million of them have received the second dose, 51.7% of the target.
The elderly, the third target of the Covid-19 vaccination, have only reached 4.6 million people, or 21.3% of the target. 2.7 million of them have completed the two doses, fulfilling 12.5% of the target.
The government urges the public to continue practicing the 3M's (washing hands with soap, wearing masks, and maintaining distance) to suppress the rate of Covid-19 transmission. The public needs to make it a habit to wash their hands with soap, wear masks, and maintain social distancing.
