The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 38 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.35 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 0.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Madiun City, Pontianak City, Kulon Progo, and Sleman, with respective values of 1.36 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.04 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Twelve districts/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than previously, while two districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Pontianak City, Kepahiang, and Palangkaraya City, with inpatient utilization rates of 1.04 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.69 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.67 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
