Several districts/cities in West Kalimantan province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Landak Regency, Kayong Utara Regency, and Kapuas Hulu Regency.
As of Saturday, January 1, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 194,370 second doses out of the targeted 553,010 vaccine recipients.
Landak Regency has the lowest rate. As of January 1, 2022, only 34.61% of the target population had received their second dose, the lowest among the 14 districts/cities. The first dose, however, reached 66.64%, with 286,730 recipients.
The vaccination program in Landak Regency targets 282,110 people. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Landak last week was 931 recipients. Currently, there is a stock of 17,600 vaccine doses available.
Next is Kayong Utara Regency, which has the second-lowest second-dose vaccination rate. With a target of 90,570 vaccine recipients, only 35% or 31,697 have received their second dose.
The first dose reached 63.58%, with 89,836 recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Kayong Utara last week was 1,166 recipients. Currently, there is a stock of 4,815 vaccine doses available.
Kapuas Hulu Regency is third. With a target of 180,330 vaccine recipients, only 36.07% or 65,048 have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Kapuas Hulu last week was 2,557 recipients. Currently, there is a stock of 12,600 vaccine doses available.
At the provincial level, West Kalimantan's overall first-dose vaccination rate has reached 54.3%, with 2.1 million recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate is 36.99%, reaching 1.43 million recipients.
