Indonesia's COVID-19 Testing: 292,140 Specimens per Day (Wednesday, December 1, 2021)

Indonesia conducted 292,140 COVID-19 tests on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. This number is lower than the previous day's testing. To date, a total of 54.75 million specimens have been examined.

The average number of specimens tested has increased. The average is 292,140 specimens per day throughout December. In November, the average number of COVID-19 tests was 257,600 specimens per day.

The tested specimens include antigen tests, Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests, and rapid molecular tests (TCM).

Meanwhile, the total number of people tested with RT-PCR on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, was 31,210, bringing the total to 17.7 million people. Compared to the population, the ratio is 65,020 people per one million inhabitants.

In addition to specimen testing, to suppress the spread of COVID-19, the government urges the public to more strictly implement the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, washing hands with soap, and maintaining distance and avoiding crowds.
