Several districts/cities in Riau province still record quite low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Rokan Hilir, Kampar, and Kepulauan Meranti regencies.
As of yesterday, these three regencies had only completed 651,720 second doses out of the targeted 1.28 million vaccine recipients in their vaccination program.
Rokan Hilir Regency is ranked first in terms of the lowest vaccination rate. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region reached 50.43%. This is the lowest compared to the other 12 districts/cities. The first-dose vaccination rate has reached 80.66%, or 639,280 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 479,760 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Rokan Hilir last week was 4,039 participants. The current vaccine stock is 100,030 doses.
Next is Kampar Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 634,970 vaccine recipients, 50.51% or 320,750 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination rate is 76.81%, or 823,640 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Kampar last week was 5,632 participants. The current vaccine stock is 86,114 doses.
Kepulauan Meranti Regency is ranked third. With a target of 160,390 vaccine recipients, 55.5% or 89,014 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Kepulauan Meranti last week was 1,054 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 19,168 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination rate in Riau has reached 90.78%, or 4.39 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate is 62.67%, reaching 3.03 million vaccine recipients.
