The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 77 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.35 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Saturday, September 10, 2022.
Inpatient utilization in the top five districts/cities, with figures exceeding 6.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Magelang City, Madiun City, Murung Raya, Manado City, and Tegal City, with respective values of 9.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 17 districts/cities, while 44 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Murung Raya, Manado City, and Teluk Bintuni, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 6.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.79 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
