The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 27 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 0.54 percent as of Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 19 percent are Pasuruan City, Surabaya City, Sidoarjo, Bangkalan, and Malang City, with values of 20 percent, 19.56 percent, 19.56 percent, 19.56 percent, and 19 percent respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in tracing numbers compared to previous days was recorded in one regency/city.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include Balikpapan City, Kubu Raya, and Makassar City, with tracing rates of 16 percent, four percent, and four percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
