668 Accommodation Service Companies in Central Sulawesi in 2020

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded 668 accommodation service companies in Central Sulawesi in 2020. The majority of these companies operate in the hotel industry.

Specifically, there were 11 star-rated hotels in Central Sulawesi that year. The remaining 657 companies were budget hotels (melati hotels).

By region, Palu City had the highest number of accommodation service companies in Central Sulawesi in 2020, with 116 hotels – 7 star-rated hotels and 109 budget hotels. Banggai Regency followed with 97 hotels, comprising 3 star-rated hotels and 94 budget hotels.

Meanwhile, Banggai Islands Regency had the lowest number of accommodation companies in Central Sulawesi, with only 12 budget hotels.

The accommodation service companies in Central Sulawesi employed 2,789 people in 2020. The majority, or 64.04%, of these workers were Senior High School (SMA) graduates.
