The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 25 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.35 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Friday, March 10, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 1.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Tana Tidung, South Bangka, West Bangka, Madiun City, and Banjar City, with respective values of 3.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily inpatient utilization rate higher than before was recorded in one regency/city, while two regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization rates include Tana Tidung, South Bangka, and West Bangka, with inpatient utilization rates of 3.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
