Several districts/cities in Southeast Sulawesi province still record quite low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Konawe Kepulauan Regency, Buton Selatan Regency, and Wakatobi Regency.
As of Monday, October 4, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 32,164 first doses of the vaccine out of the expected target of 185,210 vaccine recipients.
Konawe Kepulauan Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded 15.6% vaccination. This is the lowest compared to the other 17 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 28,015 participants. The average vaccination rate last week in this region was 24 participants. The available vaccine stock is 3,296 doses.
Next is Buton Selatan Regency. This area has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a vaccination target of 70,764 participants, only 16.34% or 11,565 participants have been vaccinated. The average vaccination rate last week in this region was 113 participants. The available vaccine stock is 3,500 doses.
Wakatobi Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 86,431 participants, only 18.78% or 16,228 participants have been vaccinated. The average vaccination rate last week in this region was 122 participants. The available vaccine stock is 3,826 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in Southeast Sulawesi has reached 30.41%, covering 609,030 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 16.52%, covering 330,900 vaccine recipients.
