Food Prices Today, January 21, in DKI Jakarta: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

The prices of several food ingredients in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (21/1/2026) at 17.57 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include red bird's eye chili, large red chili, Honan garlic, beef hind shank, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler eggs, curly red chili, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili experienced the highest increase of Rp650 (1.17%) to Rp56,150 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili saw the sharpest decrease of Rp450 (1.0%) to Rp44,650 per kg.
