The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 115 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 1.19 percent (data as of Thursday, March 16, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 16.67 percent are Boven Digoel, Banggai Kepulauan, Mamberamo Raya, Purworejo, and Kepulauan Selayar, with values of 50 percent, 50 percent, 50 percent, 20 percent, and 16.67 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 30 districts/cities, while 32 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Boven Digoel, Banggai Kepulauan, and Mamberamo Raya, with seven-day positivity rates of 50 percent, 50 percent, and 50 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
