The number of people in West Java who have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has reached 19.46 million.

As of Sunday, October 17, 2021, West Java Province had achieved 51.33% coverage for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 19.46 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 37.91 million people. The second dose vaccination rate reached 28.47% of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 181,700 recipients. For the first dose, 181,700 people were vaccinated (140.97% of the target), and for the second dose, 131.67% of the target was achieved, or 239,250 people.

For public sector workers, the target was 2.2 million people. The first dose vaccination reached 4.77 million people (217.07% of the target), and the second dose reached 163.83% of the target, with 3.6 million doses administered.

For the elderly, the target was 3.41 million people. The first dose was administered to 1.2 million people (35.26% of the target). The second dose reached 19.28% of the target, or 657,110 people.

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 27.25 million people. The first dose was administered to 12.47 million people (46.38% of the target). The second dose reached 21.5% of the target, or 5.71 million people.

For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 4.87 million people. The first dose was administered to 594,840 people (12.22% of the target). The second dose reached 9.03% of the target, with 439,300 doses administered.
