The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 165 districts/cities with a weekly Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) above the national average, currently recorded at 3.97 percent (data as of Thursday, September 1, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 37.5 percent, are Payakumbuh, Sorong, Banjar, Luwu Utara, and Manggarai Timur cities, with values of 52.63 percent, 51.79 percent, 48.98 percent, 46.99 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 61 districts/cities, while 78 districts/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Payakumbuh, Sorong, and Banjar cities, with BORs of 52.63 percent, 51.79 percent, and 48.98 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
