Several districts/cities in West Sumatra Province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Pasaman Regency, Padang Pariaman Regency, and Agam Regency.
As of Wednesday, December 22, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 244,060 second doses out of the targeted 1,010,000 vaccine recipients.
Pasaman Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of December 22, 2021, only 21.6% of the target population had received their second dose, the lowest among the 19 other districts/cities. The first dose, however, reached 66.5% or 208,470 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 235,260 people. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Pasaman was 2,366 recipients. The current vaccine stock is 15,898 doses.
Next is Padang Pariaman Regency. This regency has the second-lowest second-dose vaccination rate. With a target of 342,590 vaccine recipients, only 22.5% or 77,185 have received their second dose.
The first dose reached 43.7% or 228,430 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Padang Pariaman was 2,728 recipients. The current vaccine stock is 78,862 doses.
Agam Regency is ranked third. With a target of 432,030 vaccine recipients, only 26.8% or 115,990 have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Agam was 2,682 recipients. The current vaccine stock is 56,162 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in West Sumatra has reached 57.33% or 2,530,000 vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 31.14% or 1,370,000 vaccine recipients.
