The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 28 districts/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 0.59 percent as of Saturday, March 18, 2023.
The top five districts/cities with tracing rates exceeding 15 percent are Surabaya City, Sidoarjo, Malang City, Jambi City, and Magetan, with values of 27.67 percent, 27.67 percent, 19 percent, 18 percent, and 15 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily tracing rate higher than previous days was recorded in one district/city.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Jambi City, Balikpapan City, and Kubu Raya, with tracing rates of 18 percent, 15 percent, and 10 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
