The top five, starting from the highest, are Balikpapan City, Mimika, Sukabumi City, Surakarta City, and Semarang City, with ratios of 436.65 percent, 308.48 percent, 289.97 percent, 249.61 percent, and 225.76 percent, respectively.
Balikpapan City ranks first. With a population of 646,020, the weekly testing percentage is recorded at 436.65 percent. The latest positive rate is 4.41 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Next is Mimika. The population of this region is recorded at 221,810. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage is 308.48 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 5.79 percent, which has also decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, the weekly testing percentage in Sukabumi City is recorded at 289.97 percent, Surakarta City recorded 249.61 percent, and Semarang City recorded 225.76 percent.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the recapitulation of national Covid data, there are 218 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report a higher daily weekly testing percentage than before. Meanwhile, 142 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly testing percentage compared to the previous week's testing.
