15% of Restaurants Still Ignored Mask Mandate from July 19-25, 2021

The COVID-19 Task Force recorded five public places with the lowest mask compliance from July 19-25, 2021. Restaurants/cafes remain the location with the most disregard for health protocols.

Specifically, 15% of restaurants/cafes still had a mask compliance rate of less than 60%. However, this percentage decreased by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous week, which was 15.1%.

Residential areas also showed a low mask compliance rate of 11.9% (less than 60%). This percentage decreased by 1 percentage point compared to the previous week's 12.9%.

Furthermore, 10.5% of public roads had a mask compliance rate of less than 60%. This percentage increased by 1.5 percentage points compared to the previous week's 9%.

Public sports venues or child-friendly integrated public spaces (RPTRA) also showed a low mask compliance rate of 10.2%. This percentage decreased by 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous week's 10.6%.

Meanwhile, 8.3% of tourist attractions had a mask compliance rate below 60%. This percentage decreased by 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous week's 8.7%.

Wearing masks, especially double-layered masks or N95 type masks, is crucial in preventing the spread of the coronavirus. Therefore, the public is urged to wear masks when going outdoors. In addition, the public is encouraged to maintain physical distancing, wash hands with soap, avoid crowds, and limit mobility.
