COVID-19 Cases Increase by 2,518 (Tuesday, September 20)

Confirmed Covid-19 cases increased by 2,518 people as of September 20, 2022. With this addition, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia has reached 6,412,944.

Meanwhile, 6,228,979 patients have been declared recovered, and 157,930 have died.

The government urges the public to more actively implement health protocols as the spread of the Omicron variant increases in Indonesia. With this variant, the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia is feared to become more widespread and difficult to contain. This is despite the fact that in most regions earlier this year, the positive rate had decreased.

Previously, during the first wave of Covid-19 last year, the highest daily increase in cases was recorded on July 15, 2021, at 56,757 cases. With the emergence of the Omicron variant, this record was then broken twice in February, with an increase of 57,049 cases on February 15 and 64,718 cases on February 16.
