The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 69.1 million doses of COVID-19 booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Thursday, July 20, 2023. This figure represents 38.06 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 904 doses.
West Java remains the province with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationally, reaching 15.52 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients with 1.6 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.1 million), Bekasi City (982,400), Bekasi Regency (972,070), Cianjur Regency (913,410), and Bandung City (901,400).
East Java is second nationally with 9.45 million booster doses administered. Within East Java, Surabaya City has the highest number of recipients, with 1.32 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.64 million booster doses administered. This is followed by DKI Jakarta (5.38 million doses), North Sumatra (4.21 million doses), and Banten (3.01 million doses).
