The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 51 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.69 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Friday, December 30, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 2.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Magelang City, Central Jakarta City, Sorong, Surakarta City, and Kepahiang, with values of 5.74 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.61 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.08 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in nine regencies/cities, while 18 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Sorong, Kepahiang, and Toli Toli, with inpatient use of 3.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.08 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
