The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 69.01 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia as of Friday, June 23, 2023. This figure represents 38.01 percent of the national Covid-19 vaccination target. The national Covid-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses.
By province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.5 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of Covid-19 booster vaccine recipients, with 1.6 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.1 million doses), Bekasi City (981,630 doses), Bekasi Regency (969,740 doses), Cianjur Regency (913,270 doses), and Bandung City (901,120 doses).
Next, East Java is in second place with 9.44 million doses. In this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, namely 1.32 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.63 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by DKI Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.37 million, 4.21 million, and 3 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
