The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 38 districts/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.02 per 100,000 population per week as of Saturday, July 23, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with Covid-19 death rates exceeding 0.44 per 100,000 population per week are Tabanan, Bangli, Madiun City, Tanah Bumbu, and Karanganyar, with respective rates of 0.88, 0.87, 0.56, 0.49, and 0.44 per 100,000 population per week.
National Covid-19 data compiled by the Ministry of Health shows an increase in Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java. Three districts/cities recorded higher daily Covid-19 death tolls than previously, while one district/city recorded a lower number.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Tabanan, Bangli, and Tanah Bumbu, with respective rates of 0.88, 0.87, and 0.49 per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
