Average Length of Schooling in Bojonegoro Rises to 7.78 Years

The average length of schooling (RLS) for residents aged 25 years and above in Bojonegoro, East Java, reached 7.78 years in 2025.

According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the RLS for residents in the region is below the East Java Province average, which was 8.39 years in 2025.

Bojonegoro's RLS increased by 0.19 years (2.5%) compared to the previous year's 7.59 years. Meanwhile, over the last five years, the RLS rose by 0.45 years (6.14%).

This RLS indicates that the average Bojonegoro resident only attended school up to the seventh grade. However, this RLS is still below the national RLS average of 9.07 years in 2025.

Compared to 37 other regencies/cities in East Java Province, Bojonegoro's RLS ranks 27th. Other regions in the province with the highest RLS are Madiun City (12.12 years), while the lowest RLS is Sampang Regency (5.19 years).
