Several districts/cities in South Sumatra province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Banyuasin Regency, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, and Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency.
As of Thursday, February 3, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 1.28 million first doses of the vaccine, out of a target of 1.69 million vaccine recipients.
Banyuasin Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed 75.62% of its vaccination program. This is the lowest rate among the other 17 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 625,020 recipients.
Next is Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, ranking second lowest. With a vaccination target of 577,930 recipients, the vaccination realization has reached 75.73%, or 437,690 recipients. The average weekly vaccination rate in this region last week was 4,834 recipients. The available vaccine stock is 79,238 doses.
Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 489,960 recipients, the vaccination realization has reached 75.84%, or 371,600 recipients.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in South Sumatra has reached 88.9%, covering 5.6 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 51.38%, covering 3.24 million vaccine recipients.
