The top five, starting with the highest number of people tested per week, are Bengkulu Utara (996 people), Sumedang (993 people), Blora (989 people), Subang (989 people), and Berau (988 people).
Bengkulu Utara ranks first. With a population of 310,070, 996 people were tested in the last week. The latest positive rate is 0 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week.
Next is Sumedang. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 993 people were tested in the last week. The positive rate in this region is 1.61 percent, also down from the previous week.
Furthermore, 989 people were tested in Blora last week, 989 in Subang, and 988 in Berau.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on a recapitulation of national Covid data, 312 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of people tested daily last week compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, 72 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of people tested last week compared to the previous week.
Regions outside Java with the highest number of people tested last week include Bengkulu Utara, Berau, and Mataram City, with 996, 988, and 976 people tested, respectively.
