The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 23 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 0.48 percent as of Friday, February 24, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 16.12 percent are Surabaya City, Gresik, Sidoarjo, East Jakarta City, and South Tangerang City, with values of 21.57 percent, 21.57 percent, 21.57 percent, 16.12 percent, and 16.12 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in 0 regencies/cities, and two regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include Landak, Tarakan City, and Makassar City, with tracing rates of two percent, two percent, and 1.5 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
