Prevalence of Food Consumption Inadequacy in Denpasar City Rises 0.09% in the Last Year

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in Denpasar City, Bali, was 1.71% in 2025.

This figure increased by 0.09% from the previous year's 1.62%, while it decreased by 0.81% over the last 5 years.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 7.89% in 2025. This means that the PoU in Denpasar City is lower than the national average.

The National Food Agency (Bapanas) defines PoU as a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy required for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition insecurity conditions.
