The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 115 districts/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.87 percent as of Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with rates exceeding 22 percent are Surabaya City, Semarang City, Pasuruan City, Serdang Bedagai, and Mandailing Natal, with values of 30 percent, 24.67 percent, 22.56 percent, 22 percent, and 22 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily tracing rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 21 districts/cities, while 25 districts/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Serdang Bedagai, Mandailing Natal, and Binjai City, with tracing rates of 22 percent, 22 percent, and 20 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
