69.09 Million Indonesians Have Received Booster Vaccines

The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 69.09 million doses of COVID-19 booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Monday, July 17, 2023. This figure represents 38.05% of the national COVID-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in booster vaccinations nationwide on the previous day was recorded at 1,059 doses.

West Java remains the province with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationwide, reaching 15.51 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency had the highest number of booster vaccine recipients with 1.6 million doses, followed by Bandung Regency (1.1 million), Bekasi City (982,380), Bekasi Regency (971,580), Cianjur Regency (913,400), and Bandung City (901,400).

East Java is second nationally with 9.45 million booster doses administered. Within East Java, Surabaya City had the highest number of recipients, with 1.32 million doses.

Central Java is in third place with 8.64 million booster doses administered. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.37 million, 4.21 million, and 3.01 million booster doses administered respectively.
